[cma-l] BBC RadioPlayer launch announced - and HD Radio too!

I am a suspicious person and I wonder if there is another motive here. If the RadioPlayer is a great success like the iPlayer then this will increase the numbers of listeners using a "digital" platform and so accelerate the timetable for "switchover" to DAB. Whatever the merits or otherwise of the DAB platform, DAB only services are greatly desired by the big commercial operators because they will then be on an equal footing to the BBC national services, with Heart, Capital and Smooth all national services going against Radios 1 and 2.
