The final funding strand of Capacitybuilders’ Volunteer Management
Programme is a £1m bursary scheme to support volunteer management
skills development, and is open for application on Monday 22 March
2010.

Demand is expected to be high and so early application is advised.

What do bursaries fund?

Bursaries of up to £1950 are available to fully fund an approved
skills development package; each one is aligned to the National
Occupational Standards in Volunteer Management.  Bursaries are
available to individuals in England who support, coordinate, manage or
have strategic responsibility for volunteers. It doesn't matter
whether you undertake the role full-time or part-time, or in a paid or
voluntary capacity.

There are three levels of access available based on individual
experience and role. You also have the option of obtaining an award
from a nationally recognised accreditation body.
