[comradio-l] Community radio funding: SLAs

Hi

We've been reviewing the Ofcom Community Radio Report
2008/2009 here:

And we've noticed that Paragraph 3.9 on Page 13 states:

"As shown in Figure 5 below, and consistent with last year, the most
important types of income for the sector continue to be grants (41%),
on-air advertising and sponsorship (22%), ‘Service Level Agreements’
(SLAs) or service contracts (12%) and donations (9%). (SLAs allow
community radio stations to engage with relevant statutory
organisations for the delivery of output of social benefit, in return
for funding.)"

We'd like to know more about which stations have established SLAs of
this sort, and service contracts with local authorities, and the terms
involved so as to develop some resources to better engage the sector
with this type of funding.
