A new online tool supported by the Big Lottery Fund is designed to give
voluntary organisations the ability to improve their performance and
sustainability. The VCSE Strength Checker will produce a tailored report
highlighting an organisation’s key strengths and areas to help them become
more effective, including sustainability, marketing, strategy and planning,
track record, quality and impact.”

It is designed for larger voluntary organisations, asking questions about
the balance sheet and staffing priorities, so it is not geared towards
smaller organisations, especially those without paid staff. It is hoped
that a simpler survey can be produced for this crucial part of the sector.
