News Update: You can help young people get into the world of work – with
just one click!

Knowle West Media Centre has been shortlisted for the Royal Bank of
Scotland Skills & Opportunities Fund - and your vote will help us make our
training and employment programme a reality…

We know that many young people feel trapped in an endless cycle where they
need experience in order to be hired, but they can't gain experience
because no one will hire them. KWMC wants to support young people,
particularly those who have experienced educational and economic
disadvantage, to break this cycle and realise their ambitions.

Our six-month programme will enable eight young people aged 18-24 from
Knowle West, south Bristol, to be Junior Digital Producers (JDPs) at KWMC.
Through a programme of confidence-building, digital skills workshops, and
work readiness training, we will support the JDPs to access new pathways
into entrepreneurship and employment.

Please cast your vote for KWMC in the South West & Wales category at
http://skillsandopportunitiesfund.natwest.com/vote/vote-within-region-south-west-and-wales.html.
Voting takes just 10 seconds and closes on Friday 19th June at 12noon.

Previous Junior Digital Producers told us the experience gave them ‘the
skills, guidance and confidence’ needed to pursue their chosen career, and
‘confidence in [their] 'professional' self’ – and we want to offer this
opportunity to more young people who have passion and potential, but lack
experience.

By voting for KWMC you can help us support more young people to confidently
enter the world of work - and make a living doing what they love.

Thank you for your support.
