Ooh - No..!!

Whilst I fully understand the value of qualifications, I also rue the loss of the brilliant but unqualified teachers.....

These days you need a degree to be anything from a teacher to a nurse, a copper............ etc., etc.,

Several of my best mentors at school, and again doing degree level stuff in my late 40s, and indeed - at work in general - were not the product of degrees, but being darned good teachers......

I think that that is a big loss.......
