Whilst I fully understand the value of qualifications, I also rue
the loss of the brilliant but unqualified teachers.....<br>
<br>
These days you need a degree to be anything from a teacher to a
nurse, a copper............ etc., etc.,<br>
<br>
Several of my best mentors at school, and again doing degree level
stuff in my late 40s, and indeed - at work in general - were not the
product of degrees, but being darned good teachers...... <br>
<br>
I think that that is a big loss.......<br>

The question that worries me is - how good and up-to-date are
the people who are instructing?<br>
It's the old adage I'm afraid that those who can - do - and
those who can't - teach!<br>
I can see a student spending a lot of time and money on a course
- and coming away with knowledge and information that's of very
little practical use in a career in real down-to-earth gritty
broadcasting><br>
