THE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN INTERNET BROADCASTING STATION

Vintage Radio was conceived in August 2008 as a volunteer-based,
part-time radio station, catering for a mature audience. The base concept
was to learn, contribute, enjoy and entertain. April 2010 saw the start of
a seven days a week Internet presence, broadcasting from the Wirral YMCA in
Birkenhead.

Use of cloud-based file transfer, and remote desktops, are key for this
Internet broadcast station to operate on a low budget and develop
innovative "green" approaches to operational challenges.

Lecture location is *Wirral YMCA, 56 Whetstone Lane Birkenhead CH41 2TJ*.

Date is* Tuesday 4th February*. The lecture starts at 6.30pm with a
buffet at 6pm.
