Start 2014 with a bang!

Deciding that you want a career in audio is one thing, but how do you
actually make it happen? Whether you want to be a presenter, a
journalist or a producer, you are faced with the daunting prospect of
figuring out where to train, how to hone your skills and who to make
tea for, just to get a foot in the door!

Sound Women are hosting a series of events called Mapping the
Industry; this first session is “Mapping the Industry – Ways into
Audio Production” helping newcomers and career changers navigate their
way into their chosen audio profession.

A selection of Audio Production professionals from BBC News & Sport, 2
& 6 music, internet radio and podcasting will share their stories of
how they worked their way through the industry to get to their desired
position.

To enable the delegates to learn as much as possible from a broad
spectrum the event will be in the style of Speed Dating; the delegates
spending just 10 minutes with each speaker, with the opportunity to
ask questions.

Tickets will go on sale on January 6th 2014, with a 48 priority
booking window for Sound Women members.

Non members will be able to purchase any remaining tickets from 8th January
