We are conducting a transnational study looking into media coverage of
Muslims and Islam. We are looking for journalists, editors, producers and
media researchers who would be interested in taking part in interviews /
discussions about how Muslims and Islam are covered in the news. The
discussion forums will provide an opportunity for media professionals to
discuss the topic with each other and take place offline or online
depending on personal preference and availability. The discussions will
take roughly an hour. Participants will be anonymized in any publications.

This research is being conducted by Dr Elizabeth Poole (Staffordshire
University) and Dr Siobhan Holohan (Keele University) and is commissioned
by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, the Vodafone Foundation Germany
and the British Council.

The research is part of a wider European initiative to examine media
communications with the aim of forging positive media policy. You can find
more details about the project here:

If you are interested in taking part and/or would like more information
please contact Joanna Redden (j.redden at gold.ac.uk).
