The Community Capacity Builders (CCB) grants will underpin the rest of
UK online centres activity, and bring together organisations and
volunteers in large-scale community projects.

CCB Projects will be expected to recruit a network of 50 community
partners and 50 individual Digital Champions, and build their capacity
to deliver activities which get entire communities online. They must
also establish a sustainable project model which can continue to
deliver in the future with no additional financial support.

Voluntary and community sector UK online centre partners are eligible
to apply for this funding, plus library authorities, educational
organisations, social enterprises and other non-profit organisations.
Applications will also be welcomed from new partner organisations
based in England, and all applicants must be able to demonstrate a
track record of collaboration with other organisations and delivery of
community projects.

It is estimated that there will be around 40 Community Capacity
Builders projects (CCBs) which will run from 1 April 2011 to 31 March
2012.

CCB grants will be up to £40,000 subject to satisfactory performance
of the project.

Registration is open NOW, and will close on 4 March 2011.
