This has been blatantly obvious for years.

We have the situation where national  broadcasters occupy 42% of the available FM spectrum to provide just 5 services - BBC R2, R3, R4, R1 and Classic.

Add in BBC locals, and the amount of Band II remaining for commercial and community broadcasting is a low as 34%.


As long as the BBC and the big players have such a strong say in things, it simply won't happen.
