[cma-l] 300 new local frequencies - consultation

Basically, we need a common end date for ASAP and the new
regulator can set up a proper spectrum audit and develop a frequency plan. Community
services should not be restricted by power. If the spectrum is better managed
and better allocated, then community services would have far improved powers
and coverage etc.

The influence and lobby of the commercial sector needs to
end, currently they are dictating the need and of course, it is in their
interest that things stay the same.

This is not efficient use of the spectrum. In fact totally the
opposite of what Ofcom was supposed to achieve!

Ofcom will still take responses to this consultation: Local commercial analogue radio licence
durations.

It is important that commercial licences are not extended
for twelve years.

Really everyone should be asking for an extension (of the
consultation period) and a proper evidence
led consultation.
