Are you passionate about making a positive change in society? Do you
deserve recognition for your work? Do you know someone else who does?
If yes, then you could be nominated for a Social Change Award!

The Social Change Awards are for all those working to achieve a
positive change in society - individuals, charities, community groups,
funders, companies, public bodies.

You don't have to be a charity to apply... whether you're applying as
an individual, an informal group, a company, a public body, a funding
body OR a charity, if you're passionate about social change then
there's a category for you.

The nomination process is simple, visit Social Change Awards Online,
select the award you would like to enter, complete the online
application and submit it. You can nominate yourself/your own
organisation or recommend others for nomination:

For more information about the awards and the nomination process, please visit:

http://www.socialchangeawards.org.uk/

Once nominations close, the judging panel will select three short-list
nominees for each category that will be presented to the public to
vote for in October.

There are four categories and five awards: Everyday Impact - New
Enterprises Award, Everyday Impact - Long-term Enterprises Award,
Influencer Award, The Great Giving Funders Award and Lifetime
Achievement Award.

Please note that the Nominations of Others closes 03 September and the
Nominations of Yourself closes 10 September.

Everyday Impact Award - New Enterprises
The first award is for individuals, small local companies or community
groups who have a clear vision for change. They engage and involve
others to bring about concrete results that can be seen and felt on a
daily basis. This nomination is for 'new' enterprises that have
recently started up and been running for up to 5 years.

Everyday Impact Award - Long-term Enterprises
The second award is for individuals, small local companies or
community groups who have a clear vision for change. They engage and
involve others to bring about concrete results that can be seen and
felt on a daily basis. This nomination is for long-term sustained
enterprises that have been running for more than 5 years.

Influencer Award
This award is soley for individuals that really know which buttons to
press to make things happen - from campaigning for a change in law to
bringing together different groups to achieve what might have seemed
impossible. We want to acknowledge the determination and hard work
required to communicate clearly, put forth a persuasive argument and
win people over to bring about positive change.

The Great Giving Funders Award
This award is for  funders that demonstrate a clear understanding of
their beneficiaries and funding environment. The funder will be able
to demonstrate that they apply and use that understanding to inform
and improve grant-making by giving a clear guidance and support. The
funder shows a willingness to work with applicants to address concerns
and demonstrate a response to changing needs in the wider environment.

The Lifetime Achievement Award
This award is for individuals who have made a major impact on their
organisation/community and have devoted their time and energy to
achieving sustained positive change over the span of their working
lives. Their work will demonstrate measurable positive results and
changes that have made a difference to individuals or the wider
community.

Once you have completed the online nomination form, click next to
submit. If you have nominated someone else, the awards committee will
chase down the nomination for a full application form. Please remember
that the nomination for others closes on 03 September and the
nomination for yourself or your organisation closes on 10 September.
The short list process will take place in October and those who make
the final public vote will be notified.

If you or your organisation makes the shortlist for the final vote,
you will receive an invitation to the Social Change Awards Ceremony on
Thursday 25 November. Winners of each category will receive a

will also be announced in DSC E-news, sent to 45,000 voluntary sector
peers and posted on the main Social Change Awards web site.
