Dear Colleagues,

I have had a very interesting chat with the Lottery funding organisation
Awards For All - and they are absolutely screaming for funding applications
this quarter. They have a substantial amount of money in the kitty and if it
isn't awarded this quarter - its lost and could affect next years
allocation.

They are so keen to get this money out to groups such as ours that they
have even simplified the application process!

So if you havent had an Awards For All grant before - this is a fantastic
opportunity for funding of up to £10,000.

If you have had Awards for all before, you can still apply - providing that
you haven't had £10k within the past 2 years. Although, if you have had
£6k from them in the past 2 years... you can go back and get £4k.

The awards for all phone number is 08454 10 20 30 and the website is
_http://www.awardsforall.org.uk/_ (http://www.awardsforall.org.uk/)

One word of warning though - they don't usually like to fund a salary for
an existing activity - They prefer to fund projects that are creating a new
thing, ie a new studio for community use, or a mobile training unit to take
to community centres, new training PCs for volunteers etc. Give them a
call and have a chat as they are brilliant people.

Hope this makes sense and I hope its of some good use to you. And Happy New
Year to all involved with community media!

Kindest Regards
Steve Suttie
