[cma-l] Proposed Discussion with Ben Bradshaw, Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport

It is great that these points are all being raised, though I do fear it
is giving Phonic fm the huge task of having to represent and feedback to
the whole community radio sector, and raise these issues at a meeting
with Ben Bradshaw that wasn't set up for that purpose.
Would it not be more appropriate to feed these issues through Jaqui at
the CMA, so they can be dealt with strategically?
Just my opinion.

I agree with Phil.
Sustainable funding for community radio is the key issue, but more
revenue from commercials risks destroying the distinctive nature of the
sector.
Commercial radio would lobby very hard (with some justification?)
against it.
