[cma-l] Music royalties and the Third Sector

It seems absurd to me that not only are community radio stations
charged on exactly the same basis as commercial radio but that MCPS
still cannot make their mind up what to charge - but still tell us to
put some money aside as they will want it one day! I can see the logic
for levying fees on commercial radio, they play music, which attracts
audiences which then generate revenue/profit for the business. As not
for profit stations community radio does not generate personal or
corporate wealth yet it still must pay fees, which I suspect for some
smaller projects will be their main expenditure after wages.

If the CMA is able to join this campaign then I am sure the membership
will be behind you!
