Hi Tom, Castledown Radio make excellent use of joomla for its news 
pages.http://www.castledownradio.info/

One good thing about sites built around CMS is the freedom it allows in the 
number of editors (each with differing admin rights). So you can truuly 
allow listeners to be interactive with the station web-site.

As an example you could allow them basic editor privileges and allow them to 
post content on the site. The content needing admin approval before it goes 
live.

A great way of compiling local news and community features, especially if 
you appoint some-one from each part of your TX area as a representative 
commenting on local news/stories. Much better than the standard forum type 
usage found in most CMS.
