Gross Salary:                      £ 18,598 + 5% pension


Reporting to:                     Community Radio Project Manager


Supervising:                       Volunteers and Community group members


Terms                                   37.5 hours per week - Based in
Peterborough

 

Peterborough Community Radio (PCR) is a vibrant community radio station in
the UK.  It exists to promote the benefit of the people of Peterborough, act
as a local notice board, and give opportunities to local people and
organisations.  The charity Peterborough African Community Organisation
(PACO) currently hosts the Project.

 


Following a successful award from the Big Lottery Fund Reaching Communities
programme, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person for this
integral post.  As part of the PCR staff you will be one of a small and
dynamic team.  You will work with a wide range of diverse community groups
and individuals, recruiting, involving and training them in radio production
skills and building their confidence. You will be central to supporting
community involvement at the station and to facilitating outside broadcasts.
You will be required to think on your feet, be positive in attitude and work
creatively under pressure. Applicants must live in (or be prepared to move
to) Peterborough. The position is for a fix term contract for two years.
