[cma-l] Funding News: Henry Smith Charity - new programmes (UK-wide)

This major funder, which gives out £28 million in grants last year, has set
out its new grant programmes.

Just a summary is given here. Please check the website for full details.


*Improving Lives *- grants of £20k - £60k a year, up to three years, for
small and medium-sized organisations (£50k - £2million income) in the UK.
It will support projects and the running costs of organisations, including
salaries.

*Strengthening Communities* – same grant size as Improving Lives, but for
slightly smaller groups (£20k – £500k). The difference is they must be
within the 10% most deprived areas of the UK. It too will fund running
costs or projects, but also small capital costs needed to support the work.

*Christian grants* - grants from £10,000 upwards to support projects that
explicitly promote the Christian faith in the UK. As well as not for profit
groups, this scheme will fund churches or schools. small and medium-sized
o4rganisations, including running costs.


None of the schemes have set deadlines; you can apply at any time.
