Best New Project 2017
This award is for the best new project that has been launched during 2017.
The work will have had a positive impact for young people in local
communities or across the region.

Young People’s Environmental Project 2017
This award is for the best environmental project. This project  will have
delivered environmentally friendly / green benefits and will have involved
young people proactively.

Young People’s Social Action Project 2017
This award will be presented to the best young person’s social action
project that has taken steps to change things in our society whether
locally or regionally and introducing new ideas and processes for doing
things better in the future.

Young People’s Health and Wellbeing Project 2017
This award is open for any project in the North East which has helped
deliver a project which has helped improve the state of physical, mental
and social well-being for young people.

Best Intergenerational Project 2017
This award is open to any project that involved people from older and
younger generations in all parts of their work. Both generations will have
had an equal say and been involved in the planning, development, and
delivery of the project. Their work will have made a positive impact on
project participants and in the local community.

Best Youth Project 2017
This award will be presented to the best overall group, choosing from
either the 5 other group winners or from a group that has delivered
exceptionally to young people during 2017.

Young Volunteer Award 2017
This award is for a young person that has gone out of their way and made an
outstanding contribution to their local community through volunteering.
They will have shown passion and commitment to their volunteering role and
have made a positive impact on the people they work with, either locally or
regionally.

Young Employee/Apprentice Award 2017
This award is for a young employee/apprentice aged 16 to 25. They will have
made a noticeable and outstanding impact in their workplace. They will have
made exceptional progress in their time as an employee and they will have
shown that they are able to positively use soft skills in the day-to-day
working environment.

Inspirational Young Person Award 2017
This award is open to any young person in the North East who has delivered
hope, encouragement, success or been a beacon to other people to strive to
deliver excellence.

Young Activist Award 2017
This is an award for a young person that has achieved much in inspiring
others to take action, or has allowed young people’s voices to be heard on
a bigger scale. This could be through civic engagement or other means in
which inspiration and achievement has been delivered.

Young Carer Award 2017
This award is for a young person that has dedicated his or her time to care
for someone in need, whether that is a family member or close friend or
relative.
