In response to an intervention by the Community Media Association, the BBC
has confirmed an extended deadline of *midnight 29 May 2017* for
registering with the Local News Partnership scheme and we are encouraging
as many community media organisations as possible to ensure they have
registered their interest by the deadline in order to have the opportunity
to participate.

Registration is through an online portal details of which are available at
this address:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/corporate2/insidethebbc/howwework/partnerships/localnews

Once you get into the tenders' portal it is is fairly straightforward to
populate. There are no lengthy narratives to complete. Just some basic
information, yes/no answers, and a couple of documents to upload.

The process is in two parts. One to register on the portal and populate it
with organisation level information. Then to complete the Stage 1
questionnaire for the Invitation to Tender (ITT). For the ITT, if you are
a licensed broadcasting service you will need to have to hand an e-copy of
your licence agreement with Ofcom.

Answer yes to question 1.4.1 and upload this in response to question 1.4.2.
If you are not a licensed broadcasting service you will need to answer some
additional information about editorial standards and compliance at section
1.5

If you have any issues with the application process or need additional
advice please contact the Community Media Association.
