[cma-l] DEC East Africa Crisis Appeal

[CMA-L]

The Community Media Association is supporting the latest radio appeal by
the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) in response to the humanitarian
crisis in East Africa.

Hunger on a massive scale is looming across East Africa and if we don’t act
now, it will get much worse.

Drought and conflict have left 16 million people on the brink of starvation
and in urgent need of food, water and medical treatment. People are already
dying in South Sudan and Somalia.

The DEC has recorded 20 and 30 second messages, voiced by actor Tamsin
Greig.

Community radio stations that want to promote the donation appeal are
encouraged to broadcast these messages asking for donations.
