The Radio Hub will next meet in Sheppey with three community radio stations
are in the area of Swale.
 
The event will be held on 21st October at 10:30am for an 11am start with
Paul Chantler delivering a legal and compliance workshop.
 
Paul provides half-day seminars covering defamation, contempt and privacy
with lots of audio and text examples and stories of things that have gone
wrong in the past. This session will be tailored for presenters and
producers or journalists working in the UK.


Compliance covers offensive and discriminatory language, the rules about
running contests on air and the separation of advertising and editorial as
well as an outline of Ofcom, the way it works and the Broadcast Code. The
seminar also includes a discussion about the important issue of listener
trust


Paul Chantler is a respected international radio programming consultant
providing strategic, operational and training support. He has an excellent
track record of success with 30 years experience working in the UK, Ireland,
Europe and India. Paul is available for ongoing and project-based consulting
for radio groups, radio stations and individuals.


The  event will finish at 5pm at the latest and a buffet lunch is provided,

 
Because this was so popular last year, tickets are available on a 
first-come, first-served' basis, and a lot of stations have already signed
