Ash Elford of Angel Radio gave a good account of the SSDAB trial on the
Portsmouth minimux at the CMA's Networking event last month:

tation-to-cma-event

The Manchester minimux operated by Niocast is also running around 19
stations on DAB and DAB+.

Ofcom's report published last September concluded that the trials were
generally highly successful and achieved their three
objectives. The trials showed that the small scale approach to DAB
transmission is technically sound, and they helped Ofcom, the triallists,
and the wider industry to understand the practical requirements for
successfully sustaining DAB radio transmissions using the small scale
approach.

The Government is now considering the findings of the report.
