[cma-l] Community Radio (Amendment) Order 2015 — Motion to Approve

The problem comes with "....a Small ILR which ..... has a population less than 150k and does not have a format change to co-locate studios in place with another station....." when that station is acting as a relay of Group output and the Group owner has chosen no to have instituted a format change. Hi Barry,

Having spoken to Soo Williams at Ofcom today, they will be sending out letters with regard to the variation to your licence which we need to reply to hopefully during the wk commencing the 6th April .

If you are a station like us that have a Small ILR which you overlap and has a population less than 150k who do not have a format change to co-locate studios in place with another station then you will be capped at £15,000.

If you do have a station that has a studio co-location agreement in place via a format change then you will be allowed the 50/50 rule after the £15,000.

Hope this helps

Andy

Sorry guys but having been up to my neck in radio stuff lately I may have missed something; how and when can the previously restricted stations start broadcasting sponsorship/advertising? Do we need a licence variation from Ofcom or does it simply come into effect with the passing of the order?
