Ian,

I'm not sure why you felt it was necessary to highlight that we operate
three transmitters.

We are a true community radio station, we are run by local volunteers,
we are highly integrated with the community that we serve, we work
closely with other local community groups and charities and we provide a
service to our community that isn't provided by anyone else.

Our defined community is a relatively large geographic area, but one
that has a very strong sense of community and identity. In order to
serve this community, we need the three transmitters, as our terrain is
rather hostile to RF. Even with the three transmitters, we are still
receiving complaints from would be listeners who identify themselves as
being within our community, but are outside of our transmission range,
so there is an argument that we should be looking at 4 or even 5
transmitters to cover the community properly. Does that stop us being a
community station? No.

We are currently in restrictions because our area overlaps with Heart's,
so we should have the restrictions eased once the CRO amendment goes
through.

Cheers,

Matt Garrod
