To: Fellow
members of CMA. From Roy Alan
Manchee ralan12 at hotmail.com. 4th Sept 2014.

Dear Fellow
Members,

As a comparatively new member of the
organisation I am setting up a community Internet Radio Station on the Costa
Del Sol in Spain which will provide
material for the English Speaking Community here and elsewhere internationally.

I also print an important file below from one of my associates(Technical and Linking details), whose offer may be irresistible! At least I hope so and may be a way of
expanding operations generally through CMA at local or individual levels.

Having
discussed my methodology with some CMA members at this year’s Conference, my
basic plan is as follows:-

To focus on
the use of SKYPE, location recordings and studio discussion to interview
personalities that have worth while contributions to Community development
generally, not only here on the
Costa del Sol but internationally through Skype
and linked community groups. For example, here on the Costa we are
linked to Anglican Church Groups across Europe through the Diocese of Europe embracing the UK and as far as
Vladivostok in the east. I use the word Community in its widest
definition that is not confined to either religious or secular activities. I
also aim to ensure that contributors are free to “edit” what some might
consider to be controversial material but still allowing free discussion to
take place between people with varying views.

The Station
is called “ RADIO TM” operating exclusively through the Internet.

PROGRAMME
MATERIAL WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR REBROADCASTING BY CMA MEMBERS.

To date the
following programmes are in the course of production:-

1.
Interview
with Norma Moraine, Director of the Silver Fish Jewellery Company
in Birmingham UK giving an account of
her work in Education and Training in the UK as well as Community work in Africa assisting deprived widows who as
social outcasts are given the opportunity of setting up their own businesses .

2.
An interview with a Reverend Dr. Judith Thomas
an Anglican minister, the wife of an oil
executive who has spent much of her life travelling the world , living out her
Christian Faith in mostly Moslem Countries.

3.
A Qualified “Missionary Evangelist” Rev.
Joyce McNaughton working amongst
socially deprived women in the USA and Spain who find themselves caught up with
the Sex Trade Industry.

4.
Interview with John Wheeler of the USA a
Musicologist and Researcher into Ancient
Music www.rakkav.com about the researches of Suzanne Haik Vantoura
over 50 years in France researching Hebrew music of the first millennium BC
during the reign of King Solomon. (This
material is quite an academic approach to the subject but music
students should be made aware of this area of interest,). It presents music text and performance that
would have been heard so long ago in the story of sacred music.

5.
Changing your approach to life through the
work of local artist Keith Brown in Fuengirola
Costa del Sol.

                 Some
other ideas:-

1.Radio Drama.

2. Healthy Eating....Spanish Tapas....In the kitchen.

Local Wild Life.....(Natural History)....Birds of the
feathered variety.

3. Economics locally.

Breaking Copyright through Music concerns us but I have
located a supplier of “Stylistic” Music that can be useful to help us along. We can also compose and perform our own music.Programmes about popular music
may only use incomplete extracts to illustrate styles for round table discussions. (I would appreciate members’ comments about
this thorny issue. Your advice and comments would be appreciated. Many
Regards..Roy Alan Manchee

 Hi all,

I will write this in Finnish and English!

Roy: We are installing the server system and it offers an "failover"

service.

This means that when you are not broadcasting (online from your studio),

the server automatically can switch into the "failover" stream. Ie.

another web-radio (somewhere else on its own server) or a playlist and

song saved into the server or just a single audio file saying "Sorry we

are not online right now". We could maybe even shuffle those, so it

could play some songs on the playlist and then say the message "we are

not on" and then continue playing...

Have you got some of your friends running a web radio where we could

switch automatically if you are not online (and automatic broadcast is

stopped)? And if you have, are there any copyright issues in there?

Olisiko

ideaa, joku lyhyt "This is Radio MT blaa blaa whatever"?
