[cma-l] Ofcom revises its invitation for applications for community radio services in the East of England

[CMA-L]

Ofcom invited applications in September 2014 for community radio
licences in localities within the East of England, Northamptonshire
and Milton Keynes.

Following this publication, Ofcom considered further whether it was
possible for an FM frequency to be identified for a part of Essex that
was not considered viable in our original invitation. Following
examination, Ofcom has decided that there is a frequency that could be
utilised for Southend on Sea, Castle Point or Thurrock.

Ofcom has therefore extended the closing date for these locations only
to 5pm on Tuesday 3 February 2015.

The deadline for all other East of England, Northamptonshire and
Milton Keynes locations included in this community radio invitation
will remain, as before, as 5pm on Tuesday 16 December 2014.
