Who are the people and organisations changing society for the better?
Britain’s 50 New Radicals is back!

In 2012, Nesta and *The Observer* presented a list of social entrepreneurs
and innovators using their technical expertise, community influence,
scientific prowess and artistic bravery for social good.

We’ve now joined forces once more to find the next generation of radicals
working in the UK today. Britain’s 50 New Radicals 2014 is looking for
inspirational people, initiatives and organisations from England, Scotland,
Wales and Northern Ireland working hard to tackle society’s biggest
challenges.

This year we’re splitting the list into ten different categories:

   1. Community action
   2. Environment
   3. Health
   4. Employment / jobs
   5. Politics
   6. Media, architecture and the arts
   7. Science and technology
   8. Business
   9. Education
   10. Food

*Criteria*

   - Organisations of all sizes will be considered ranging from
   one-man-bands to established companies. However, the project, initiative or
   company must have been going for at least six months and not in operation
   before May 2010.
   - Entries must be able to demonstrate evidence of success and
   sustainability.
   - You can enter Britain’s 50 Radicals yourself or nominate another
   person or organisation to be considered for the list.
   - All entries must be based in the UK and not be primarily motivated by
   profit.

We’re accepting entries between now and *16 June 2014*. Our panel of
judges, led by Geoff Mulgan and *The Observer*’s John Mulholland and Yvonne
Roberts, will then decide who makes it through to the final list of 50,
announced in September.
