To mark the UK launch of DIY Citizenship: Critical Making and Social 
Media (MIT Press), this one-day symposium welcomes DIY Citizenship 
co-editor Megan Boler - University of Toronto for a keynote and 
discussion with Professor Ian Hargreaves - Cardiff University from UK 
Creative Citizens research project, followed by a day of dialogue about 
DIY citizenship in making, activism and design.

Boler and Hargreaves will be joined by contributors to the DIY 
Citizenship collection, researchers and active participants in DIY 
culture in the UK to critically examine forms of DIY citizenship that 
have emerged in recent years
