[cma-l] Help with funding

I don’t think you have this quite right, the organisations are not MLM’s.

Even if they were that would not necessarily make it a bad thing, as the top earners are making very significant money each money. The best we spoke to was earning £55,000 a month, the vast majority though earn very significantly less.

For those not familiar with MLMs we covered it on Let’s Talk Business here. <http://www.letstalkbusinessonline.com/ltb/2013/05/> http://www.letstalkbusinessonline.com/ltb/2013/05/

For the recorded we have no connection with any MLM.

Kind Regards

Alan

I've just had the pitch this morning about the 'national trade exchange' this morning from someone locally and there just aren't enough businesses in the local area to make it worth the investment/annual fees at the moment. It's also a commission structure business (similar to MLM) so be aware each rep is earning from the next.

Whinge over and to answer your question. How about the Economic Development
Officer in your council? Also the person responsible for Community
Volunteering; sometimes they have a list of local Foundations you can tap
up.

If you have spare airtime (I guess you do) I'll happily talk you through
becoming a member of a national trade exchange we are working closely with.
I've helped a number of stations over the years and as a former station
director I know it helped us enormously.

My numbers are below.

Hello

We are looking to fund a station/training manager at Erewash Sound. We are
doing ok. Although this 51% rule is restrictive.
One think we have not done great at is getting funding. Is there anyone who
could give us some advice on where to get funding and the best approach to
getting it?

Kind Regards

Dear radio friends,

I?m conducting some research into the provision of content for online and
community radio. Will you help?

I believe that interesting and informative content builds audiences. And
money (be it grant funding, or commercial revenue) follows audiences. Of
course, there is a lot of fabulous radio out there already, but sometimes
volunteers and beginners need a little help to kickstart discussions or
phone-ins.

The idea is that as far as possible, content will be provided free of charge
to not-for-profit organisations. I?m not sure yet if this is workable!

The survey will take a couple of minutes to complete and I?m interested to
hear from individual presenters, or the view of station management.

Here?s the link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/F85JYHM

Please do feel free to write to me at this email if your comments won?t fit
into the survey structure.

Looking forward to hearing from you all!

Best wishes
Pippa
