Dear all

I am sure you would all agree that it is not helpful for any of us to
assist those who would want to rip the sector apart by using divide and
rule and other such tactics, by questioning the values and culture of each
other.

The distinctions between CMA members who hold licences for radio,
television, RSLs etc and those that are not formally licensed at all are
minimal.

You all sign up to the CMA Charter and all have a commitment to social
gain, community benefit, training and community engagement. As the CMA we
would like to encourage more of you to go for the new local TV licences
where possible so that the community broadcasting sector is better
represented around that table.

We would also note that a number of you are working increasingly
cross-platform.

We would like to encourage all of you to respond to the DCMS Consultation,
as even if you are "not radio" it has implications for the whole sector.

Hope that helps

Jaqui
