To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I this year, Gordon Hotchkiss will be presenting a six part series on songs about the war in his weekly Wednesday Hotchpotch programme on Celtic Music Radio. Gordon, and Celtic Music Radio, would be happy to make this series of programmes available to other community broadcasters. Please contact me (bruce at celticmusicradio.net) if you are interested in taking this series of programmes. It is likely that each show will last approximately 90 minutes.

Gordon Hotchkiss, presenter and director at Celtic Music Radio, has been a “well known voice” on Scottish radio for many years. During the 80s, he was the “voice of folk” on Radio Clyde 261, with his weekly “Hotchpotch” programme.

During that period he gained both a UK National Sony award and a Scottish TRICS commendation for best radio specialist music programme.

Gordon’s shows are always extremely well researched and interesting, but equally, they’re very entertaining.
