Scotland’s newest production company will be working with a network of international groups to host International Community Media Day.

King Lambie Productions, run by Cameron King and Gillian Lambie, has organised a day of events in Glasgow to showcase Scotland’s community media and creative industries.

The event will take place on Monday 4th November between 10am and 4pm at Impact Arts in Glasgow’s east end.

As well as in Glasgow, similar events will be taking place in over 25 different countries on the same day at the same time to celebrate International Community Media Day.

The day will be jam packed with presentations from a variety of media platforms from different areas around Scotland. Summerhall TV from Edinburgh will coming across to speak on the day as well offering a workshop for those who want to get involved.

Other guest speakers include those from Mindwaves, Plantation Productions, We are Northern Lights and Digital Commonwealth.

Besides presentations and workshops, there will also be a panel discussion from some of Scotland’s community radio stations – chaired by King Lambie’s Cameron King.

International Community Media Day is being hosted by partners across the world with a feed running into Citizen’s Eye in Leicester at different points throughout the day.

Across the world will be encouraging people to tweet using the hashtag, #commedia13 and in Glasgow we have trained up volunteers for filming, interviewing and photographing.
