[cma-l] Review of Ofcom list of major political parties

Ofcom has published a consultation on reviewing the list of major political
parties that applies to the Broadcasting Code and Ofcom’s rules on party
political broadcasts:

 This list is used by broadcasters to help them report on elections and
referendums with due impartiality and to determine who should qualify for
Party Election Broadcasts.



The consultation is limited to next year’s European Parliamentary elections
and English local government elections taking place on 22 May 2014.

The deadline for responses is *19th December 2013*.
