[cma-l] Funding News: TalkTalk Digital Heroes deadline extended (UK-wide)

The deadline for the TalkTalk Digital Heroes Awards has been extended
to 18 September 2011. The awards recognise people using digital
technology to bring about positive change in their local community.
Cash prizes are available.

The TalkTalk Digital Heroes Awards, with Citizens Online, is an awards
and funding scheme with a difference: it is the UK's only scheme which
recognises people who harness digital technology to bring about
positive social change in their communities.

The TalkTalk Digital Heroes Awards, with Citizens Online and in
association with The Mirror - and supported by Race Online 2012 -
offer people a chance to win funding for a new or existing digital
project.

Last year the TalkTalk Awards saw an incredible response with over
140,000 public votes for 12 truly inspirational winners. And this year
the awards will be bigger than ever.

12 projects from around the country will be awarded a £5,000 grant,
with one overall winner getting £10,000. It's decided by a public
vote, with an awards ceremony at the House of Lords in London. So what
