Attached maybe of interest to stations in south England.

Interreg IVa http://interreg.proxiad-normandie.fr/index.php?lang=en
covers the channel area, so counties adjacent to the coast (Norfolk to
Cornwall with possible inclusion for Somerset, Wilts, Surrey and
Cambridges) are eligible.

The first strand of Interreg IVa is "Reinforce the sense of belonging
to a common space and the awareness of shared interests e.g. projects
promoting mutual learning of language and culture"

Interreg IVa is a bureaucratic nightmare, although micro-projects
(which this seems to be) might be a bit less burdensome especially if
someone else is the lead partner.

From memory it funds up to 50% of project related costs, but you have
to show anglo-french collaboration, and 'added value' from working
cross-border.
