Hi Nick,
I'm not sure you do see both sides, you see your side, and you see the
superstar artists with enough money to build radio stations from pound
coins.
I can assure you that for most artists, the amount they make from money
generated from PRS is limited but welcome and the amount of time you play it
canalside has nothing to do with it, but thanks anyway.
This is not a black and white issue and I'm really not trying to change your
opinion, but merely furnish you with an insight from the other side/foot.
It's a complex system and with any complex system people will try and make
money where they can but I assure you, it's not the artists that are the
money grabbers, we don't set PRS/PPL prices and we certainly don't feel that
community and commercial stations should pay the same amount of money, which
I feel is the main issue here, maybe we can agree on that?
