[cma-l] Donated equipment

Hi, 

 

Does anyone have any experience of having 2nd hand radio equipment donated
by commercial or large radio stations? I run a youth radio project in
Greenwich and we're currently raising funds for new equipment, but some of
the young people have suggested approaching other radio stations in case
they're getting rid of stuff/upgrading - anyone had any luck with this kind
of thing, is it worth asking, etc?
