[cma-l] BBC RadioPlayer launch announced - and HD Radio too!

Seems to me it's just another initiative to tilt the football table away
from BBC & other commercial stations' goal.
By building an iplayer and promoting it, they are hoping that people aren't
going to explore the wild frontier of the internet for alternatives, so they
say "only licensed stations need apply" - apply for an *internet* player?!

I think the BBC produces some excellent programming and public service for
the money, but I don't see why they need to behave like a commercial
station, trying to maximise their audience and squeeze out other fledgling
businesses. We all know they are there, that should be enough.

And then they start whining about Sky.
