Peterborough Community Radio Involvement Officer (the position is for 21
months)


 


Job Title:                             Community Involvement Officer 


Gross Salary:                      £ 18,598 + 5% pension (pro rota)


Reporting to:                     Community Radio Project Manager


Supervising:                       Volunteers and Community group members


Terms                                   37.5 hours per week - Based in
Peterborough

 

Peterborough Community Radio (PCR) exists to promote the benefit of the
people of Peterborough, to act as a local notice board, and to give
opportunities to local people and organisations.  The charity Peterborough
African Community Organisation (PACO) currently hosts the Project.

 


A motivated and enthusiastic person is required for this integral post.  As
part of the PCR staff you will be one of a small and dynamic team.  You will
work with a wide range of community groups and individuals from all
background and condition, training them in radio production skills and
building their confidence. You will be central to supporting volunteer’s
involvement at the station and to facilitating outside broadcasts and
promotional road shows.  As the first port of contact, you will be required
to think on your feet, be positive in attitude and work creatively under
pressure. Applicants must currently immediately available to commence
employments.
