Hi Martin

This looks good and at the expected £90, good value for money.

Does anyone have ideas about the PRS/PPL implications?

This looks hopeful for community stations, and i would say that its £90 well spent! I know some people are against the idea of the radio player, but as a few have said the future of radio is multi-platform and this is certainly part of that.. and i would recommend that community and student stations that can go on it do go on it.

And other details have been announced..

". Each station will fall into one of five fee bands, ranging from £90 for stations with a weekly reach below 50,000, to £23,040 for stations of over 3.2m. The lowest band enables small Ofcom-regulated independent, community and student stations to join."

"Annual license fees are set relative to weekly reach, as determined in RAJAR Q3
2010. Each station in Radioplayer falls into one of 5 bands, as outlined below.

If a station is not in RAJAR, they can self-certify their listening figures. These will be
cross-checked and reviewed as necessary, using Radioplayer statistics."
