[cma-l] Spending Challenge website to close on 12th August

Less than a day left to submit your money-saving ideas to the Government:

http://spendingchallenge.hm-treasury.gov.uk/

They say that they've had an overwhelming response to the Spending
Challenge with 44,000 suggestions submitted to help the Government
"get more for less".

To ensure these ideas are considered in time for the Spending Review
and that you, the public, get a chance to consider and rate them, the
Spending Challenge website will be closing to new ideas at 10am on
Thursday 12th August.

The website will then re-open shortly afterwards. They will post up
the suggestions they've received and give you the chance to vote on
them.

At the end of August, Spending Challenge will take the best ideas and
investigate them in further detail. The most promising ideas will be
taken forward in time for the Spending Review on 20th October.

The start of the new phase of the website doesn’t mean it’s too late
to submit your ideas – these can continue to be submitted in the usual
