Hi Catherine, et all,

 

Thanks for all the replies, from little knowledge we did have we kinda got
there in the end. Its times likes these that the CMA list and the CR sector
is so valuable.

 

I haven't checked and will check with Bill if we have a place on the CMA
website under technical with sub section regarding TBU etc is available.

I'm not normally on the list but from the traffic would be useful to retain
especially the technical advice. I'm sure this would also be valuable for
strategic, governance, volunteers etc.

 

Once again thank you to everyone who offered advice directly or thru the
list.

Hi Javed

 

All they need is a spare AUX/FX send they're not already using.  We did the
same on our simple Behringer sub-mixer using our D&R hybrid.

 

That's what we have been using on our temporary studio set-up - sending
everything but the phone channel back to the input on the TBU ... then the
output of the TBU to the dedicated telco fader.

Hi All,

 

I'm not familiar with D&R Hybrid as ive been asked to help out a small
station about to broadcast this week, the problem they have is connecting
this unit to a normal mixer, from what I can gather, it may not be possible
if they don't have a telco channel for clean feed. 

 

I had asked them to try to use a mono return into the unit and that should
work but they don't have anyone technical enough and its difficult for me to
get thru to Edinburgh over the next three days.

 

Ive loaned then also a Yamaha Mixer 12/4 as their Peavy four channel wasn't
flexible enough.
