Shine Week 2010

dates: July 12-16, 2010

Shine is all about celebrating England's young people and their talents,
encouraging young people to put themselves in the headlines for all the
right reasons – and have fun along the way.

Activities throughout the year are building up to Shine Week, a
nationwide celebration from July 12-16, 2010. It’s an opportunity to put
on loads of different events that showcase the type of achievements that
too often go unnoticed. Shine is the perfect chance for us to change the
commonly held negative views of young people. So if you've got talent or
are simply doing something you want to shout about, then sign up. It's
easy and everyone's welcome. If the movement is massive, then the impact
will be too.

To get your organisation involved first register on the website, you’ll
get your own profile so that you can upload your work. There is also
access to free online resources. How you shape your programme for Shine
in your organisation is up to you, the only criteria are that it
celebrates the diverse talents of your members. It could be you decide
to run single event, or you might want to hold a week bursting with
activity.
