[cma-l] Own Language broadcasting - air checks

Hi all,

I'm the lead web developer for Eclectic Productions - we run a youth
community radio station called Reprezent (http://www.reprezent.org.uk).

I'd be more than happy to assist in setting this database tool up at no
cost - we're looking to share ideas and network with fellow community
radio stations here at Eclectic and I'm sure this would be a great
opportunity for us to do so.

I'm a strong believer in doing rather than talking so does anyone want
to put forward a brief specification of what features are expected just
to get the ball rolling!?

Regards
Husain

Hi Julie

I sent this to the list last week:

[Link:

]

Co-operatives UK have launched a guide to legal structures for
community enterprises.

This valuable guide is for development professionals who are involved
in advising and supporting new and existing organisations in the third
sector.

The guide will also prove useful for individuals who are considering
establishing a new organisation or are reviewing the structure of an
existing one.

The comprehensive 67 page guide covers:

    * Incorporation
    * Legal forms
    * Organisational types
    * Ownership and asset locking
    * Charitable status

PDF download:

See the Co-operatives UK website for more information:

There's a lot of advice within about setting up a charity - does that
help? What problems are you having with the Charity Commission?

Best regards

Bill

Congratulations to all at OX4 - spent some time with them during their
first
RSL a couple of years ago, a great bunch and really well-deserved.

My sincere advise is - Don't bother!

Being saddled with Charitable Status can be a huge burden and involve
jumping through hoops and loads of paperwork.

Get established as a CIC and get VAT registered.

By all means have a Charitable Arm so that you can gain the benefits of
funding open only to Charities, but don't have that situation as your
sole operating format.
