FYI this job. Closing date is today. Only just found out. But it may be
worth contacting the prison in case they extend the closing date. Strange
difference in upper salary level. Was advertised in the Yorkshire Post of
8th May 2008.

Vera Media were key in suggesting the station and getting it off the ground.
Then we were suddenly completely sidelined and weren't even told when the
job was advertised. I only found out late in the day through our officer
contact (the voluntary services co-ordinator at the prison), who has also
been sidelined. It is very disappointing given the work we put in. Anyway, I
hope that the job goes to a good person.

HMP Leeds West Yorkshire Vocational Skills Trainer - Radio Station
Management Salary: 21,222 - 30,441 Ref: P09513/07/1/KH We require an
experienced individual to manage the radio station at HMP Leeds. You will
have substantial experience in this field and be capable of assessing
vocational training and of developing up-to-date and accurate training and
assessment schedules. You will work with selected prisoners to deliver radio
programmes to the prison and work to maximise learning and increase learner
achievement. This is an exciting career and development opportunity for
someone who wants to be part of a new and creative project. As well as the
technical ability to manage a radio station you will have, or be willing to
work towards, a vocationally specific Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
You must have or be prepared to obtain an appropriate assessor
