[cma-l] Suggested text for responding to Ofcom re PSB

Dear all

We urge those of you who have not done so to respond to Ofcom's Second 
Public Service Broadcasting Review.  Below is some suggested text (NB 
the actual review has numerous questions and does not include local and 
community television or any radio at all).

As a community radio/television/media producer (delete as applicable) I 
am writing to respond to this review. I am concerned that the review 
does not consider widening out the definition of who is a public service 
broadcaster or public service content maker.  There can be no doubt that 
community based media projects, whether broadcasting or online, are 
producers of public service content.  This is also true of commercial 
local television broadcasters.

Therefore we urge Ofcom and the DCMS to consider funding models which 
include all producers of public service content, not just the incumbent 
national television producers.


Deadline is tomorrow, but Ofcom will probably accept responses in before 
Monday,
