Community radio stations are well placed to interview local election 
candidates on their proposals for each area.

A vital question for community and public media this year is, as 
regional ITV programmes fade away, what support should be offered a 
more local public service television ?

A briefing paper for community radio with questions on local public 
service television is being prepared by ULTV based on the policies of 
the main parties and the recent parliamentary support.

Early indications from your station of plans to hold council election 
hustings, on-air debates, question and answer sessions or discussions 
would be very helpful, and should be forwarded to local.tv at virgin.net 
to help us ensure information on local TV support from across the UK 
reaches you in time.
